Some of our members will be helping build a new structure for Jacob’s Well Church in Eau Claire, May 20-25 and August 5-10. Funds from this dinner will help pay for travel, lodging and food expenses for each participant.
Invite your family and friends for this event.
The back of U-Haul trailers used to carry the slogan, “An adventure in moving.” Thank you for being a part of our adventure, February 19 and/or February 26. Remember that immediately following worship, we’ll have a light lunch for you in the fellowship hall. Choir members will remain in the sanctuary for rehearsal, have a quick bit to eat, and then join in the moving process.
Here’s the plan in a nutshell:
Here’s how we’re going to organize ourselves:
Here are a few guidelines to follow:
Prepare to embark on an adventure like no other, scouring the mysterious fathoms of the deep sea. Thrilling discoveries await just beyond the portholes of your submarine.
As kids are submerged in God’s word they will discover that Jesus saw people differently. He saw people for who they were on the inside, deep down. As kids learn to see themselves and others as Jesus sees them, they can realize that everyone needs a Savior. They will discover that a relationship with Jesus Christ changes everything.
Join us, all you have to do is dive in!

A Milwaukee Business Journal article:
Come see some beautiful holiday creations from member of Layton Avenue at this year’s Cinnamon and Cider Craft Fair
Saturday, Oct 11, 10:00 AM-3:00 PM: Antiques, Jewelry & Coins Appraisal Fair @ Layton. Coins, jewelry, toys, signage, paintings, guns, historical memorabilia, glassware, and dishware all welcome. The cost is $5 per item appraised with a limit of 7 items. All proceeds go to our church’s building fund. Please tell your family and friends about this event. The more people who come and bring items, the more the church benefits financially for its future. For additional information, contact Paula Zeller (pzeller1@ wi.rr.com or 414-425-3919).
Last spring I began connecting with our national convention regarding this seminar. My hope was to get formal training for a few of our members who could in turn provide counsel for those in our church who struggle with money management, stewardship, debt, budgeting, etc. I wanted to know where in the Midwest we could get this kind of training. The good news is that they said they’d come to us!
The cost is an amazing $20 (lunch included) for an individual or couple. Given that this will be open to other churches, space will be limited (about 50 seats for Layton Avenue). Although registration is through this website—
We want to know if you plan to go. Next Sunday’s tear-off tab will give you that opportunity. But feel free to go ahead and register as soon as possible.
